Go back to your Fourthwall dashboard. Look for the Settings menu, and then find the Domain or Custom URL section. Visual: Screen recording navigating the Fourthwall dashboard to the Domain settings. Fourthwall will ask you to enter your new domain name. Once you enter it, they will provide you with the Nameserver information you need. It will look something like ns1.fourthwall.com and ns2.fourthwall.com.

Now, switch back to your domain registrar's dashboard—for us, that's Namecheap. Find the Manage section for your domain, and look for the Nameservers setting.

You will change the setting from "Namecheap Basic DNS" to "Custom DNS." Then, copy and paste the two Nameserver addresses provided by Fourthwall into the fields. Click Save.

(Wait Time) This change is not instant. It can take anywhere from a few minutes to 24 hours to fully update across the internet. This process is called DNS Propagation.

Up to 24 Hours." Once the propagation is complete, your professional domain will be live and pointing directly to your free Fourthwall website! You have successfully launched your digital hub for the cost of a domain.

Conclusion & Next Steps

You are now ready to start building your content and applying the digital marketing strategies you will learn in the next modules.

Your first task is to complete this setup. In the next lesson, we will dive into customizing your Fourthwall site for maximum marketing impact. After you are done send your domain to your mentor ( EN Airlam) for submition

Step 2: Purchase Your Domain.

Remember, this is the only mandatory cost. We recommend using a dedicated domain registrar for the best long-term value.

Our top recommendations are Namecheap, Porkbun, and Cloudflare Registrar. They offer competitive pricing and transparent renewal fees. Visual: Highlight Namecheap as the example we will use for the demo. Let's use Namecheap as our example. Navigate to their website. In the search bar, type the domain name you want. For example, LinkedMediaAcademyTest.com.

(Crucial Tip) Always check the renewal price, not just the first-year price. Some registrars offer a very cheap first year but hike the price significantly later. Namecheap and Porkbun are generally transparent. Visual: Zoom in on the price breakdown, highlighting the first-year vs. renewal cost. Once you find an available domain, add it to your cart and complete the purchase. You only need to buy the domain name itself. You do not need to purchase hosting, email, or any other add-ons.

After purchase, log into your registrar's dashboard. You now own your professional website address!

(Technical Concept: DNS) The next step is to tell your domain name where your website lives. This is done using something called DNS or Nameservers. Think of it as updating the GPS coordinates for your address.

We'll tackle that in the next lesson.

Today, we turn theory into practice.

We will walk through the three essential steps:

1. Creating your free Fourthwall account.
2. Buying your domain name.
3. Connecting the two.

This entire process requires zero coding and will leave you with a live, professional website ready for your digital marketing strategies.

Step 1: Create Your Fourthwall Account. Open your browser and navigate to Fourthwall.com. Look for the "Sign Up" or "Get Started" button. Visual: Screen recording of navigating to Fourthwall homepage and clicking "Sign Up." You can sign up quickly using Google, or use your email address. For a professional account, we recommend using a dedicated professional email. Visual: Screen recording of the sign-up form. Highlight the email input field. Fourthwall will ask you a few simple questions about your brand or what you plan to sell. Just provide basic information for now. The key is to get access to your Creator Dashboard. Visual: Quick cuts of the onboarding questions. Show the final view of the Fourthwall Dashboard. Once you're in, you'll see your unique, temporary Fourthwall URL, like yourname.fourthwall.com. This is your free website, but we want to upgrade it to a professional, custom domain.we'l let you know how in the next lesson

The truth is, traditional hosting and platform fees can cost hundreds of dollars a year. But for a digital marketer, especially one just starting out, that cost is unnecessary.

Today we’re going to show you a strategy to launch a fully functional, professional website for the cost of a single domain name.

The secret lies in choosing the right No-Code platform. While builders like Wix and Squarespace are great, they charge monthly hosting fees. We recommend a platform called Fourthwall.

Fourthwall is designed specifically for creators and marketers who want to monetize their audience. The key feature is this: They charge zero monthly fees. They make their money by taking a small commission only when you make a sale on a product or membership.

This is a game-changer. It means you can build your entire professional portfolio, your e-commerce store, or your membership site, and only pay when you are actively generating revenue. You completely eliminate the risk of high, recurring hosting costs.

Crucially, Fourthwall is a No-Code platform. You use drag-and-drop tools and pre-designed templates. If you can use social media, you can build a website on Fourthwall.

End the lesson, next lesson: Registering a domain.

Introduction:

Why a Website is Your Digital Marketing Hub For a digital marketer, a professional website is not just an online brochure; it is the central hub of all marketing activity. It is the only digital property you truly own, giving you full control over data, branding, and the customer experience. This guide provides a comprehensive, cost-effective, and non-technical roadmap to building a professional website using modern No-Code platforms.

1.1 The No-Code Revolution

The term No-Code refers to tools that allow users to create functional software and websites using visual drag-and-drop interfaces, eliminating the need for traditional programming languages like HTML, CSS, or JavaScript. This empowers marketers to build, test, and launch quickly, focusing on strategy and content rather than technical implementation.

1.2 Cost-Effective Platform Selection

Choosing the right platform is the most critical decision. For digital marketers, the ideal platform must balance ease of use, affordability, and marketing features (like SEO and analytics integration). Based on current market analysis, we recommend the following platforms for their balance of features and cost-effectiveness:
Platform Best For Key Feature (Non-Coding) Estimated Cost (Monthly) Wix Beginners, Small Businesses, High Customization Intuitive Drag-and-Drop Editor, Vast Template Library $16 - $27
Squarespace Portfolios, Service Businesses, Design-Focused Award-Winning Templates, Excellent Mobile Responsiveness $16 - $33 Hostinger Website Builder Budget-Conscious, All-in-One Hosting Extremely Low Starting Price, AI-Powered Builder $3 - $10

Recommendation for Linked Media Academy Students: Start with Wix or Squarespace. While Hostinger is cheaper, Wix and Squarespace offer superior marketing integrations and design flexibility, which are essential for building a professional portfolio or a client-ready site. BUT USE THESE IF YOU ARE DOING A WEBSITE FOR A CLIENT. FOR YOUR OWN PERSONAL USE, PLEASE USE THE SITE THAT IS IN THE NEXT VIDEO AFTER THIS ONE.

Notes:

1.5 Importance of Digital Marketing in Today’s Business Landscape

Global Reach and Cost-Effectiveness Digital marketing democratizes business. It offers unparalleled global reach, allowing a small startup to compete on the world stage. Furthermore, its inherent cost-effectiveness—the ability to pay only for performance (PPC) or invest in long-term free traffic (SEO)—makes it a superior choice for maximizing ROI.

Precision Targeting and Hyper-Personalization The ability to target a specific audience segment—down to their job title, income bracket, or recent search history—is a game-changer. This precision enables hyper-personalization, where the content and offer are dynamically adjusted for the individual user, dramatically increasing the likelihood of conversion.

Real-Time Measurability and Adaptability Unlike traditional marketing, every click, view, and conversion is tracked in real-time. This real-time measurability allows marketers to make immediate, data-driven decisions. If an ad is underperforming, it can be paused instantly. This adaptability is the key to continuous optimization and efficient budget allocation.

Learn how to create clear, achievable, and measurable goals for any digital marketing campaign. This lesson prepares learners to create strategies backed by data, not guesswork.

Notes:

1.4 Setting Digital Marketing Goals (SMART Goals)

The SMART Framework: A Strategic Imperative All successful digital campaigns begin with clear, strategic goals defined by the SMART framework. This framework prevents vague objectives and ensures every effort is trackable and aligned with business outcomes.

Specific: Clearly define the desired outcome (e.g., "Increase organic traffic").

Measurable: Quantify the goal (e.g., "by 35%").

Achievable: Is the goal realistic given resources and market conditions?

Relevant: Does the goal support the overall business objective (e.g., revenue growth)?

Time-bound: Set a clear deadline (e.g., "within the next six months").

Translating Business Objectives to Digital KPIs The crucial step is translating a high-level business objective (e.g., "Increase market share") into actionable digital Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).Business Objective: Increase annual revenue by 20%.Digital KPI Translation: Increase qualified leads generated via the website by 25% in Q1, and maintain a Cost Per Acquisition (CPA) below $50.[

 Advanced Goal Examples

SaaS Company: Achieve a 3:1 Customer Lifetime Value (CLV) to Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC) ratio from all paid channels within 12 months.

Non-Profit Organization: Increase email list size by 10,000 subscribers through a dedicated lead magnet campaign with a Cost Per Lead (CPL) under $2.00 by year-end.

E-commerce Store: Reduce shopping cart abandonment rate from 75% to 60% by implementing a three-step abandoned cart email sequence within 30 days.

Mini Project: Strategic Goal Setting Your first strategic exercise is to apply this framework. Choose a business—real or hypothetical—and write three distinct, challenging, yet achievable SMART goals for its digital marketing efforts. This exercise is the foundation of your strategic thinking. The Customer Journey: Funnel Stages and Channel Alignment Digital channels are deployed strategically across the customer journey, often visualized as a funnel:1.Awareness (Top of Funnel - TOFU): The goal is visibility. Channels: SEO, Content Marketing, Social Media (organic reach).2.Consideration (Middle of Funnel - MOFU): The goal is education and trust.
